Here is a little update. Hubby, kids and I moved back into our house in town right before school started as our farm is 26 miles out of town. We only stay in the house on the farm when school is out. When school is in we have lots and lots of running to do as the kids are in many sports. We love our house in town as much as we love the farm...but the convienience of living in town is greater than our love for the farm...at least for the next 2 years...kids will graduate then. Hubby is talking about selling the farm and the house in town and buying a smaller farm, one closer to town so we could live there year round and only have one mortgage payment..so that is still in the works. I am still homeschooling the two youngest children and they are as rotten as ever. My oldest son just got his learner permit...so if your in northern West Virginia stay off of the sidewalks...lol. Well...I will post more at another time. One day my life will be simpler and less crazy.

Till then,
Fawn

Have a piece of my home in your home!

I will be offering the following items available to be purchased through the postal service. They are thrilled. Now maybe my summer will be a little less busy with my boys being bored. They already have a circle around our meadows for their race track. DH made them stay on the outside edge due to the fact that he is getting ready to cut hay. We are going to the stock sale on Saturday to buy more goats..hopefully I will find my daughters a couple of good horses while I'm there. That will thrill the girls. And...our house in town sold. It went under contract on Monday. Yeah for us. I was so worried about making 2 mortgage payments. Well thats all for now. My name is Fawn and I am married to Russell. We have four children ( Vikki, Ollie, Alex, and Lizzy). We have four dogs ( Spike, Mandy, Angel, and Trixie Grace). We are raising dairy goats, a milk cow, a steer, and a butchering hog...plus our chickens, geese and guinea's on our beautiful 93 acre farm in the heart of West Virginia. We are living our dream. I am learning all I can about farming...as I hope that one day it will be self supporting. I work away from the farm as a loan processor and operations manager for a banking firm. We also own and operate Shallow Creek Farm Country Store where we sell animal feed, grocery item, household items, things from our garden and homemade goat milk soaps and bath items. We homeschool our youngest two children as our middle school system is corrupt...and I do not want my impressionable young minds to become warped with the system's way of thinking. Well...that is all for now. I will post picture's of our place soon.
Till then.

May all of your dreams come true as ours has.

Fawn Hitt
Shallow Creek Farm
